Although from the outside European soccer may seem complex, but it’s easier than you may think.
First thing you should know is that each country has it’s own soccer lleague. The seasons run from August to May. June and July are the only months with no European Soccer League games.
Each team plays every other team twice. Once at home, and once on the road. The games are divided into two 45 minute halfs.
The winner is awarded 3 points, and the loser 0 points. In a tie, each team gets 1 point. After each time has all the other teams twice, the team with the most points is crowned champion of the league.
They get a big trophy, and a parade, and the season is over.
However, before the books close, there is still some relegation done. Every year when the German league has been concluded, and the champion has been crowned, the three teams with the lowest scores are removed, and replaced by the top 3 teams of the 2nd division.
